Get inspired for Alfresco Dining this season

With the launch of our Spring and Kitchen Collection, we couldnt wait for the sun to shine and head into the woods for some alfresco dining. Our goal is to inspire you with our beautiful range and show how to mix and match Essence Home products. As the weather warms (fingers crossed!), this table lay is just the beginning of many ways you can style our kitchen and dining pieces.
Our inspiration started with the HKLIVING Mineral Drinking Glasses, which come in a stunning range of colours. If you are familar with Essence Home, you'll know how much we love using colour to make every piece pop. These glasses were the perfect starting point for our table design.
When I think of Spring, flowers and fruit immediately come to mind. These natural elements played a key role in our table lay. With the right colours and type of flower its really easy to pull off!
We visited our local florist and greengrocer to gather fresh flowers, fruit and potted herbs. Then, we headed to Island Pond Wood in my village - a picture-perfect spring setting with a pond, ducks, picnic tables and lambs in the nearby field.
We began with the TBCo's Checkerboard runner and matching Camel placemats. The soft brown complemented the colours of the table, while the bold pattern added an eye-catching base. We added HKLIVING dinner plates in burnt orange, moss green and rustic pink, and paired them with HKLIVING's side plates and deep plates in coordinating hues.
Since we were working with a round table, we made sure to place a fresh flower vase in the center as a focal point. If you have a rectangular table, you might prefer two vases on either end of the runner. A centerpiece adds height and colour, giving you flexibility with the rest of the table. We used Que Rico's striped vase, which contrasted beautifully with the runner, and added texture with the foliage inside. To balance, we included a traditional vase for variety in shape and colour. This traditional vase is handmade from a Spanish brand called Roca Caus.
Next, we introduced our colourful HKLIVING glassware, which really brought the table to life. These playful glasses, whether mixed or matched, add a pop of colour. We also featured HKLIVING's textured tube glasses, which cast a lovely pattern on the table in the sunlight. To finish we added one of our best sellers, the Bloomingville Striped Green Jug - perfect for pretending to pour wine (at 9am of course!).
Finally, our HKLIVING reclaimed teak wood chopping boards and freshly potted herbs brought even more greenery to the table, creating a full and welcoming look - perfect for Spring and our new Kitchen collection.
The mix of colour, stripes, checkerboard and greenery created a joyful and stylish vibe!
